Some baby newborn photo sessions are super special for a variety of reasons. Sam's session was one of them because his mommy and daddy took my Birthworks Childbirth Education class just a few weeks before this little guy decided to enter the world AND I got to take their maternity photos! Having seen and got to know this couple over a few weeks of class, I couldn't wait to see them again and meet the beautiful boy who had been in his mama's belly all that time! 

Samuel and his mom & dad came to my newborn studio in Frederick MD for their newborn photos when he was just a couple of weeks old. They brought some special items for his session - a (not scary, honest) clown and shark, and a beautiful handmade blanket. I love incorporating special items into newborn photos! I know how much these things mean to the parents and they always choose them as part of their final collection.
