Reminiscence part 5: Vicky | Frederick MD Family Photographer

I met Vicky one day at our local library. It's amazing how brave you become when you move to a foreign country and hear a voice nearby reminiscent of home. Vicky approached me and asked if I was from the UK, and we discovered we had kids of similar ages and our friendship grew from there!  She brought me meals when I was nine months pregnant, so I wouldn't have to cook when the baby came, neither of us realising that the baby was going to come that evening!

These two shoots were so much fun. The first one was on a day the rain kept pouring and we kept in contact, wondering whether to postpone or not... Just in case, they all wore their wellies and had a great time in the sunshine splashing in puddles!

The second session we had was with Vicky's Gramps. We went to one of my favourite parks, Fountain Rock, and watched the turtles in the lake, ran up and looked in the lime kilns, and had fun throwing leaves.  I love sessions like this, so relaxed and laidback, really capturing moments.

These sessions mean a lot to me because Vicky really put her trust in me and came back for more! She was my first *repeat* client and I will be forever grateful.

Vicky is pregnant again now, and on bedrest, so needing some love and kind thoughts. Hopefully I will be taking more photos for her and her lovely family soon!  I have many favourites from these sessions, and this one is at the very top of this list!

I just met Vicky the other day! Cute family!
